03/07/03 - Gamma Sports, makers of the number one rated string product line in tennis, today announces the launch of their new IPEX racquet line designed with IPEX NanoTechnology. Gamma has been altering material at the molecular level, which is real NanoTechnology, for thirty years. Gamma has used various methods to improve the elasticity, resiliency, and shock absorption of materials by altering their molecular structure. This same NanoTechnology was used to create Gamma TNT, the first synthetic string to outplay natural gut. Now Gamma engineers have focused this technology to carbon fiber composite structures, and are proud to announce new IPEX NanoTechnology.
Each IPEX racquet concentrates different high modulus carbon fibers throughout different strategic areas of the racquet, improving power, control and feel. A more resilient IPEX carbon fiber composite returns energy faster. Upon impact, the racquet snaps back to its original position faster than ordinary carbon fiber composites providing maximum energy transfer and greater racquet head speed. Stronger and more concentrated carbon fibers in the IPEX structure provide perfect stiffness for greater stability, resiliency and energy transfer to the ball for maximum performance. Gamma IPEX Racquets will be available in April 2006.
