04/12/04 - Paris, France & Monte-Carlo, Monaco – The ATP announced today the signing with BNP Paribas of a three-year agreement to provide financial services for the ATP organization, ATP tournaments and players.

ATP and BNP Paribas will work closely together on a worldwide basis to manage the distribution of prize money from all ATP tournaments to ATP players. BNP Paribas will use its international network of offices and Private Banking experience to enhance services provided to ATP players in the distribution and management of prize money earned worldwide.

With this agreement, BNP Paribas expands its presence as a partner of professional tennis after more than 30 years as a major sponsor at Roland Garros as well as sponsoring the Davis Cup and the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, an ATP Masters Series event.

In addition to its banking expertise, BNP Paribas will support ATP events through extensive advertising during television broadcasts and on-site hospitality programs.

“BNP Paribas has been a longtime supporter of professional tennis and will enhance the financial services provided to our tournaments and players,” said Mark Miles, ATP Chief Executive Officer. “We’re extremely pleased about this unique new partnership.”

“BNP Paribas is a worldwide leader in the financial services industry and an ideal partner for the ATP,” said Richard Davies, Chief Executive Officer of ATP Properties. “We’re delighted to welcome them into our growing group of business partners.”

BNP Paribas joins a growing pool of prominent ATP partners including the INDESIT Company, Ricoh, AOL, Lacoste and Luxilon Sport, all of which have signed or renewed agreements in the past 12 months. Together with ATP premier partner Mercedes-Benz, these leading brands join long-standing ATP partners Lotto Sport Italia, Club Med, Penn, Waterford Crystal, and Tennis Warehouse.
