Wilson Racquet Sports Expands Global Staff

08/12/04 - [CHICAGO]--Wilson Racquet Sports has expanded their global marketing team.

The Wilson Global Racquet Sports team focuses on brand strategy, product development and marketing programs under the direction of Brian Dillman, Vice President of Global Marketing. New to the global team is Scott Rea, International Tennis Ball Manager, who will focus on managing and expanding Wilson’s tennis ball market share globally from product testing to marketing. Rae is a former teaching pro with more than 10 years of industry sales and marketing experience. He was previously the Sales and Marketing Director for Yonex USA. Scott will report to Antoine Ballon, the Global Marketing Director for Tennis Rackets and Tennis Balls.
“For more than a decade, Wilson has been the #1 racquet sports company globally and we are committed to keeping this leadership position,” said Brian Dillman, Vice President of Global Marketing for Wilson Racquet Sports. “The addition of this new talent to our team will enable us to focus on the opportunities we see in the global racket sports market.” The global marketing team is comprised of Global Marketing Directors, R&D and Graphic Design. Additional new team members include Klara Nowak, Assistant Marketing Manager, who was previously with Wilson’s Innovations & Designs Group. Nowak, is a DePaul University graduate and an accomplished Blue Demons tennis player. Terry Gibson, Assistant Marketing Coordinator, has been with Wilson for more than five years. He has gained his experience in customer service and will assist with all marketing programs. Karin Ptaszek-Kochis, Sports Marketing Assistant, also supports the global team with a focus on the global tour, product procurement and agent/contract communications. She has been with Wilson for over four years and was the former #1 tennis player in Denmark for nine years.
