Professional Development Weekend

07/02/04 - Hilton Head Island, SC - - Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced the schedule of a Professional Development Weekend, which will be be held in conjunction with the ROHO/PTR $15,000 Wheelchair Tennis Championships on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina The Professional Development Weekend is open to all tennis teachers, coaches and enthusiasts, and will be conducted at the PTR Headquarters, September 22-26, 2004.

Courses during the weekend include Munchkin Games conducted by PTR Executive Director Dan Santorum and Team Coaching The Basics with PTR Director of Development Geoff Norton. Tennis pros won't want to miss the Play Action Drills workshop conducted by PTR International Director Inaki Balzola. Dr. Bryce Young and Linda LeClaire will be presenting a psychology course entitled Mastering the Mental Side. Norton will also conduct Instructing Wheelchair Tennis 102, which is designed for tennis professionals who wish to earn a wheelchair tennis teaching certification, with an added bonus Advanced Wheelchair Skills & Drills.
