07/26/04 - Ask any tennis player what is necessary to take their game to the next level, and they will answer: "the best equipment." Since 1997, K•Swiss has provided the most technologically advanced tennis footwear and apparel, the 7.0 System. K•Swiss achieved “back-to-back” honors, with TENNIS Magazine awarding the Glaciator® GS the distinction of Editors’ Choice for 2003 and the Ultrascendor™ in 2002.
In 2001, K•Swiss revolutionized tennis footwear by introducing a performance tennis shoe that featured technology to keep tennis players’ feet cool and dry, the Glaciator®. In K•Swiss’ commitment to provide the best tennis footwear and apparel, the design engineers at the K•Swiss have developed the evolution of the highly successful Glaciator®.
The Glaciator® GS features DRYZ™ cooling and moisture-management technology in the lining that allows feet to stay drier and cooler. The Heat Deflection Core™, a heat-deflecting material placed from heel to toe in the midsole, deflects surface heat away from the foot. These features, in addition to side and heel vents, work simultaneously to provide unsurpassed cooling and ventilation.
Due to an overwhelming positive response to the 2002 7.0 System styles, K•Swiss will continue offering selected styles from the previous collection. The lightweight Ultracendor™ features a durable, two-piece skeletalized Aösta® 7.0 rubber outsole, that when combined with strategically placed exposed EVA, decreases the weight of the shoe. The lightweight, EVA and TPU Cushion Board™ sheds excess weight from the shoe while providing additional support. For those who are really tough on their shoes, the Defier® features an abrasion-resistant DragGuard™ in the heel and toe of the Aösta® 7.0 rubber outsole that provides extra durability in these high-wear areas. The Helcor® high-abrasion toe wrap provides an extra line of defense against excessive toe wear. The supportive Preventor™ is a high-cut shoe that uses a Bio Feedback Strapping System that stabilizes the foot and ankle. In addition to the specialized features that meet a specific need, every 7.0 System shoe has one or more of these advanced features: Shock Spring cushioning, Cushion-Board™ support, long-wearing Aösta 7.0 rubber outsole, Stay-Tied™ laces, durable DragGuard™, Heel-Grip Lining, and a Helcor® high-abrasion toe wrap.
In 2000, K•Swiss introduced a collection of 7.0 System apparel that took the world of tennis by storm! Advanced performance features and highly technical fabrications all working together to form the most technologically advanced tennis apparel in the world. Building on the initial success, K•Swiss will offer the 7.0 System collection of apparel for Men and Women.
Select K•Swiss 7.0 System apparel items are made with UltraCel™, a molecularly enhanced fabric that transfers moisture from the body, through the fabric, to the outside where it will dry quickly. UltraCel™ has an odor-resistant, stain release property so "whites stay white" and colors won't fade. These performance features, along with a guarantee not to shrink more than 3%, make UltraCel™ the perfect match for 7.0 System apparel. For 2004, select Women’s 7.0 System apparel items will feature Tactel® and spandex. Tactel® is known for its soft hand-feel, breathability and combined with spandex, offers superior comfort.
