01/26/05 - After great success in 2004 with large gains in its string business, Tecnifibre USA announces its launch of tennis racquets to the U.S. market. Tecnifibre is not new to tennis racquets as it has been marketing and selling racquets under its parent Major Sports brand since 1979. This is the first time that racquets have been introduced to the U.S. market by Tecnifibre/Major Sports.

“We have carefully selected a range of 6 racquets for the U.S. market. Three (3) are global racquets that have had very strong sales in Europe and Asia during the past summer/fall and three (3) models were developed specifically for the U.S. market”, says Paul Kid, Sales and Marketing Manager for Tecnifibre USA. “We have spent the last 12 months getting high caliber players at the college and junior level into these racquets and the interest from others to try these racquets has been unbelievable”. Tecnifibre has also been very active in increasing its pro players using these racquets and has recently signed Juan Ignacio Chela (ATP #9, Indesit 2005 Race Ranking) and has 4 other players in the top 100.

There are 2 series of racquets being introduced – the T-Fight series for the hard hitting baseline type of player and the T-Feel series for the all court player. All of the racquets have a rich red color theme to them and come with a red grip. The racquets will range from a suggested retail of $169.99 to $189.99. The racquets will be available March 1st, 2005.

The six (6) racquet models are as follows;
T-Fight 325, T-Fight 315, T-Feel 305, T-Feel 305XL, T-Feel 290XL and T-Feel 275XL
