Flexpoint is a racquet technology that offers players of all levels ultimate control with no loss of power. Two small holes located at the three o’clock and nine o’clock positions of the frame are cradled within dimples to create a precisely engineered “flexpoint” when the ball makes contact with the strings. Extensive laboratory tests showed that these two holes work together to control the power and add sectional flexibility. Flexpoint racquets are powered by Liquidmetal technology, to maximize the energy your swing generates.
Since the beginning of tennis, every racquet has flexed in the same way on ball impact. In addition, racquets have been made stiffer to gain power, but they ultimately lose control in the process. HEAD’s new Flexpoint racquets cup the ball to ensure it leaves the strings at exactly the angle intended. This produces control like never before, but with no loss of power.
“HEAD’s unique approach to technology sets us apart in the industry,” said Johan Eliasch, CEO of HEAD N.V. “Flexpoint is a direct result from studying a racquet’s physical reaction to ball impact. It’s one thing to incorporate the latest technology into a sport’s product, it is another to use the sport to drive the technology.”
