PTR Launches Scholarship Scout

01/09/06 - Hilton Head Island, SC--Professional Tennis Registry announced the launch of Scholarship Scout, another free new benefit for PTR members.

Scholarship Scout, which is posted on PTR’s website with the NetWorks Jobs Bulletin, provides information about college tennis scholarships that are available. This will be a great benefit to PTR members who are trying to help their students find spots on a college tennis teams that offer partial or full tuition scholarships. In addition, college coaches regularly contact PTR looking for players. Now, those coaches can recruit players for their teams by posting openings on Scholarship Scout.

“Scholarship Scout will be beneficial to the 230 PTR members who are Head Tennis Coaches at colleges and universities in the USA,” said Dan Santorum, PTR Executive Director. “As well, the hundreds of PTR members who coach high school tennis will be able to use Scholarship Scout to assist their players. We are excited to introduce this new PTR member benefit to help this nation’s dedicated and hard working high school and college coaches.”

PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 12,000 members in 123 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
