TennisPro Magazine Wins Two APEX Awards

07/05/06 - Hilton Head Island, SC--The Editor and Art Director of Professional Tennis Registry’s TennisPro magazine won national APEX Excellence Awards, one in the category of Magazine & Journal Writing and the other in Magazine Design. TennisPro is the official publication of the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and is written specifically for its members who are tennis teachers and coaches. APEX 2006, the 18th annual national awards program, recognizes excellence in publications work by professional communicators.

TennisPro Editor and PTR’s Director of Communications, Peggy Edwards, received the Magazine & Journal Writing APEX Award for the September/October 2005 issue of TennisPro. PTR’s Art Director, Angie van Zuylen, earned a Magazine & Journal Design & Layout APEX for her work in the November/December 2005 issue.

PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 12,000 members in 123 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
