Tecnifibre R&D Strengthend with the Addition of Po-Jen Cheng

07/24/06 - Tecnifibre announces that industry leading engineer and racquet R&D specialist, Po-Jen Cheng, has been hired as a consultant for Tecnifibre tennis and squash racquets. Po-Jen has over 18 years of experience working with all facets of racquet design and spent most of this time with Wilson Sporting Goods Co., where he was Director of R&D with responsibility of developing many of the successful racquets and technologies that helped put Wilson into the leading position. He will work with both the U.S.- and France-based Tecnifibre teams.

“We are very fortunate to have one of the best in the industry to work with us as we develop our racquet business” says Paul Zalatoris, General Manager for Tecnifibre. “Po-Jen’s experience and knowledge is what our company needs to accelerate our entry and growth into this market. Po-Jen actually has been working with us and our corporate office in France since the beginning of the year”.

Tecnifibre is about to launch 2 new racquets which are the first ones that Po-Jen had input on. “After reviewing the drawings and input from players, Po-Jen immediately made recommendations to improve the feel and playability of these racquets. We are really excited about these new racquets as the feedback from the play testers has been phenomenal," says Zalatoris.
