07/27/06 - New York, NY – Defending US Open champion Roger Federer’s website hits a grand slam, according to the editors of TENNIS Magazine, who named it the best overall site for their inaugural “Webbies” awards, listed in the August issue. According to the editors, rogerfederer.com earned the honor because, “The game’s most complete player also has the most complete web site. The excellent feature stories, photos, and cool details put this site in a class by itself – kind of like its namesake.”

Here are TENNIS Magazine’s picks for other player sites that rank aces above the rest:

Best Access: Tim Henman, timhenman.org – He answers his fans questions, both silly and serious.

Best Music: Rafael Nadal, rafaelnadal.com – Uses the soundtrack by the Venezuelan band Caramelos de Cianuro during surf time.

Best Journal: Ana Ivanovic, anaivanovic.com – Writes at least an entry a week, keeping fans abreast of what’s she’s up to.

Best Inside Info: Kim Clijsters, kimclijsters.com – Announces personal life events, such as her impending nuptials to Brian Lynch.

Wackiest: Vince Spadea, vincespadea.com – If the background music doesn’t scare you off, you can vote on whether he should cut his crazy mane.

Best Design: Amelie Mauresmo, ameliemauresmo.fr – Photos of her on and off the court are integrated into each page.

Best Videos: Any Roddick, andyroddick.com – Includes an extensive video library.

Sexiest: Daniela Hantuchova, dhantuchova.com – This online home is all about showing off her long legs and flat abs.

Best Overall: Roger Federer, rogerfederer.com
