PTR Schedules Professional Development Weekend

06/05/06 - Hilton Head Island, SC – Professional Tennis Registry announced the schedule of its annual Professional Development Weekend, which will be held on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Professional Development Weekend is open to all tennis teachers and coaches, and will be conducted at the PTR Headquarters, September 21-24, 2006.

Courses offering specialized tennis training will be held during the weekend and will include Munchkin Games & Drills with PTR Executive Director & CEO, Dan Santorum. Tennis pros won’t want to miss the Play Action Drills workshop with PTR International Director Iñaki Balzola, or Team Coaching -Singles & Doubles Strategy with PTR Director of Development, Geoff Norton. Charlie Ruddy will conduct Using Technology to Grow and Manage Your Business and Customer Base and Dr. Bryce Young will be present a psychology course on Mastering the Mental Side, and for pros who want to become a Cardio Tennis Instructor, Dr. Sophie Woorons-Johnston will bring her high energy, heart pumping presentation to the court. Norton will also conduct Instructing Wheelchair Tennis, which is designed for tennis professionals who wish to earn a wheelchair tennis teaching certification.
