03/07/06 - Chicago–Wilson Racquet Sports, the No. 1 brand in tennis, is expanding its reach to high school tennis players by signing on to support the 7th Annual All-American Invitational Boys Team High School Tournament in Newport Beach, Calif. The event, which takes place March 24-25, 2006 at Corona del Mar High School, is the only national team high school tennis competition.

Wilson will provide tennis balls for the tournament, which invites 16 teams from across the country to participate based on rankings and statistics. Wilson will also offer coaching strategies, player tips and equipment guidelines to high school coaches and players by distributing its quarterly newsletter, “Coaches for Life,” at the event.

“Wilson’s involvement this year means a lot to the players participating in the tournament,” Tim Mang, tournament director and executive director of the National High School Tennis All-American Foundation, said. “The competition to be invited to the event is fierce, and Wilson’s participation creates excitement among players to be a part of this intense team environment.”
