Key Speakers Headline USPTA Competitive Player Development Conference in Las Vegas

02/01/07 - Anne Smith, Ph.D., Stan Smith, Brett Hobden, Clay Sniteman and Mary Jo Campbell are the featured speakers for the 2007 United States Professional Tennis Association’s Competitive Player Development Conference. The conference will be held Feb. 25-27, 2007, at The Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in conjunction with the USPTA Intermountain Division and The Tennis Channel Open.
Anne Smith is a licensed psychologist and winner of 10 Grand Slam titles, and Stan Smith is a former No. 1 in the world and winner of seven Grand Slam titles. Brett Hobden is an internationally recognized expert on modern tennis, and Clay Sniteman is an ATP tour trainer who will speak on injury prevention and treatment. Mary Jo Campbell is a strength and conditioning specialist with the USTA.
In addition to hearing some of the industry’s leading experts speak on developing competitive players, attendees will also have the opportunity to see the pros in action at The Tennis Channel Open. The Tennis Channel Open is an ATP International Series tournament offering $500,000 in prize money.
Registration for the conference is $250 and includes all materials and access to The Tennis Channel Open. All USPTA members are invited to attend the conference.
