02/19/07 - Costa Mesa, Ca.—Bälle de Mätch introduces two new sales representatives, Terry Gratz and Laurie Bouch, who have joined the California-based apparel company to manage sales in the Northeast and Southeast regions.
“Whenever a small company like Bälle de Mätch has turnover in its sales organization, it is often difficult to find the right combination of experience, commitment, focus and energy in today’s market of sales professionals,” said co-owner and partner John Embree. “Our newest team members embody a great mix of these traits. I am thrilled to welcome Laurie and Terry to our organization because of what they will be able to contribute to our growing brand in a short period of time. More importantly, their respective customers will enjoy working with them.”
Gratz, also a rep for Dunlop Sports Group, has been a teaching pro for the past 18 years. He started his career at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy and then moved into the Atlanta area where he began working at Stone Mountain Tennis Center and Eastside Athletic Club. His territory includes Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.
“After seeing the wide variety of unique styles, colors and fabrics, I know Bälle de Mätch will become a growing brand for many specialty shops and clubs,” said Gratz. “I especially appreciate the grassroots approach that John is taking with respect to teaching professionals. The support of the teaching pros is something that has not been emphasized enough and Bälle de Mätch has taken the support of these pros to a new level in terms of product allocation and customer service.”
Bouch was with the USTA/Middle States section for 12 years, holding the positions of Director of Community Development and USA Tennis Manager over the years. Bouch is a PTR certified teaching pro at RiverWinds Tennis Center in West Deptford, N.J., and also the assistant coach for the boys and girls high school teams in Audubon, N.J. where she resides. She will be managing accounts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
“This is a new direction for me and I’m eager to learn from the people at Bälle de Mätch, especially John Embree,” said Bouch. “I am fortunate to be on board with a company that has a terrific product line. I’m truly excited to work for Bälle de Mätch and join the sales side of the tennis industry.”
Bälle de Mätch, founded in 1992, is a company of young, sports-minded individuals distinguished by their passion for extraordinary tennis wear. Bälle de Mätch has come a long way, but never strayed from the original mission of making comfortable, great-looking tennis apparel geared towards the avid and professional player.
