02/26/07 - Memphis--Star Dunlop player Tommy Haas won the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships Sunday without losing a set or facing a single break point all week. Playing his first tournament with the new Dunlop Aerogel 3HUNDRED racquet, he defeated World # 3 Andy Roddick in the finals 6-3, 6-2 to retain the title he had taken the previous year, as well as in 1999.

Haas, currently # 9 in the ATP rankings, needed only 61 minutes to defeat Roddick in the championship match. Serving well, he took all but one of his 25 first serve points. He is only the second three-time winner of the Memphis event along with Roddick’s coach Jimmy Connors.

“It’s been a phenomenal week,” said Haas, “and I couldn’t be happier about the way I was serving with my new Aerogel racquet.”

“Tommy’s been playing superbly” said Kai Nitsche, Dunlop’s general manager of racquet sports. “We all congratulate him on this championship and wish him continued success this year. He is off to a tremendous start and the Aerogel 3HUNDRED is a perfect fit for his game.”

About the Aerogel Racquets
Dunlop has changed the science of tennis with the introduction of the Dunlop Aerogel line. The lightest solid on earth, Aerogel has strength 4000 times its own weight. With these unique attributes, the Dunlop engineers have designed a frame that creates strength and stability while allowing perfect touch and feel for ideal control -- what many describe as the ultimate performance racquet.

“Dunlop has a reputation for producing some of the finest racquets played by professionals,” said Nitsche. “Aerogel further enhances our position as a leader in performance technology.”

Dunlop Aerogel 2HUNDRED. Perfect for high performance players with a long swing, the 2HUNDRED allows for extra power and spin in precision shotmaking.

Dunlop Aerogel 3HUNDRED. A control oriented racquet ideal for high performance players. With Aerogel, the 2007 3HUNDRED is slightly lighter than last year’s model.

Dunlop Aerogel 5HUNDRED. Perfect for serious players looking for extra power and playability from a lightweight frame. The tapered frame stiffens the racquet for tremendous strength.

Dunlop Aerogel 5HUNDRED TOUR. Slightly heavier and stiffer than the 5HUNDRED, this racquet hits a consumer segment that continues to grow in the United States.

Availability

The Dunlop Aerogel line of racquets is available in pro-shops and retail stores throughout the United States and Canada. For more information about the Aerogel racquets and other quality Dunlop products please call 800.768.4727.
