01/03/07 - Hilton Head Island, SC--Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced that Jack Waite has been appointed to the staff as Director of Development.

As Director of Development, Waite will oversee, develop and conduct PTR Professional Development Courses throughout North America. PTR’s popular PTR on Campus program is a natural fit for the former Collegiate All-American and Assistant Coach at the University of Wisconsin. After graduation, Waite went on to play in 35 Grand Slams achieving an ATP Top 50 Doubles ranking with wins over Roger Federer, the Bryan and Jensen brothers, James Blake, Boris Becker and Patrick Rafter. After retiring from the Tour, Waite became CEO of Le Petit Tennis, a program designed to bring tennis to young children in their schools. He also worked at Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida, and as Director of Tennis at the Oconomowoc Lake Club in Wisconsin. His volunteer service includes stints on committees with the ATP, USTA and US Olympic Committee.

PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 12,000 members in 123 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
