03/19/07 - Bordentown, NJ – It was déjà vu all over again for this years Pacific Life Women’s Doubles event. The tandem of Lisa Raymond and Samantha Stosur notched their second tour event victory of 2007, defending their Pacific Life Open doubles title Sunday by defeating China's Chan Yung-Jan and Chuang Chia-Jung 6-3, 7-5.

Stosur signed with Prince in November 2005 while Raymond has been a mainstay on Team Prince since she was a junior player. This tournament appearance however marks the first time both players had an O3 racquet in their hands – and the results could not have been better. Stosur, who is also ranked #27 in the world in singles, joins other tour players such as Maria Sharapova, Vera Zvonareva, Vania King and Ai Sugiyama in choosing the O3 White as her racquet of choice. Raymond, who had been playing the Shark DB prior to the PLO, made the switch to the O3 Hybrid Tour and in doing so, joins top players such as Shahar Peer and Sam Querrey who also have the O3 Hybrid Tour in their bags.

“The racquet felt great out there and I am just glad that I was able to help Sam come away with our second tour title this year,” said Raymond. “This was a nice win for us and we are definitely going to enjoy it. Hopefully the switch to the Hybrid Tour will result in only tournament victories.”

With the victory, the Aussie-American team, claim their 16th tour doubles title, which includes the 2005 U.S. Open and 2006 French Open titles and retain their shared hold on the top spot in the rankings.

“We are very proud of and happy for both Lisa and Sam,” said Linda Glassel, VP of Marketing and Communications at Prince. “It is not easy to come back and defend a title and we want to congratulate them on that accomplishment. We wish them continued success throughout the rest of the season.”
