10/23/07 - Bordentown, NJ – Mike and Bob Bryan, the 29 year-old American twins and the top doubles team in the world, continued their dominance Sunday with a championship run in Madrid. With the win, the Bryan’s find themselves with a career-best ninth title for the season, their fourth ATP Masters Series title of the year, and their third championship since making the switch to the O3 Speedport Black.

Mike and Bob came into Madrid as defending champions and top seeds ultimately besting Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski 6-3, 7-6(4) in the final.
“It feels good to come in after a three-week break and take care of business,” said Mike Bryan. “We want to keep the momentum going and finish up strong in Shanghai.”
The Bryans have won six of the past twelve ATP Masters Series events, making the finals of nine of the past thirteen. The twins improve to 68-9 for the year and have already clinched a spot at the prestigious year-end Masters Cup event in Shanghai – something they have done three years straight and four out of the past five.
“We feel very good about where our game is right now. We have done a lot in the past few months to raise our level of play and without question making the decision to play a racquet with O3 technology is one of the factors that has enabled us to do more on the court,” said Bob Bryan. “Mike is serving huge, we are putting more pace on our returns and we coming up with bigger shots on balls we are out of position for. The technology and the sticks play a big part in being able to do all of that.”
Mike and Bob decided in July to make the switch to a racquet with O3 technology, picking up the new O3 Speedport Black in time for the Country Wide Classic in Los Angeles - one of their nine titles of 2007. Mike and Bob are joined by close to 100 other ATP and WTA touring pros including Nikolay Davydenko, Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic and up and comers Sam Querrey and John Isner who have decided to take advantage of the groundbreaking benefits that O3 technology provides. In only two short years since its introduction, O3 has become the talk of the tennis world capturing over 165 ATP and WTA tour titles. Today, the world’s top men’s doubles team, four out of the top five players in women’s doubles, two of the top six men’s singles players and four out of the top ten women singles players play Prince.
