07/23/08 - Boulder, Colorado – Babolat, a leading manufacturer of tennis products, announces the introduction of a full line of Nadal Junior racquets for children. Named for the five-time Grand Slam winner, Rafael Nadal, the Nadal Junior racquets are designed for budding young players age four to nine.
Babolat, with its long history of innovation, has developed many game-changing technologies for tennis racquets, strings and tennis-specific footwear. “Our products have been used by tennis champions for over 135 years. With this new line of Nadal Junior racquets, we hope to inspire a whole new generation of players to discover and enjoy the game of tennis,” said Eric Babolat, President and CEO of Babolat.
The Nadal Junior line will make its debut in September with five new racquets. The Nadal 100, 110, 125, 140 and 145 are a lightweight aluminum construction making them perfect for beginners and juniors, and feature the same cosmetics as the top-selling adult Aeropro Drive model used by Rafael Nadal.
NADAL AND BABOLAT, A WINNING COMBINATION:
From the time he first started playing tennis, Nadal’s secret weapon has been a Babolat racquet. His Aeropro Drive was designed specifically for his topspin heavy game with the use of aero-modular technology in the frame to increase the racquet head speed. “Rafa is truly a great champion and sportsman. We work closely with him to develop the right products to suit his game and are very proud of the collaboration,” explained Babolat. “You can see the results he’s getting with this racquet.”
The new Nadal Junior racquets will be priced starting at $24.95 and available in pro and tennis specialty stores starting in September 2008.
