06/18/08 - New York, NY--Eight World TeamTennis matches, featuring some of the biggest names in tennis, will air nationally this summer on the Tennis Channel and VERSUS. Tennis Channel will premiere seven WTT telecasts while the WTT Finals will air live on VERSUS on July 27 and re-air on Tennis Channel on July 30.

The VERSUS telecast will mark the first time the WTT Finals will air live since 2004. The WTT Finals are set for 4 pm EST/1 pm PST from Roseville, Calif., home of the defending champion Sacramento Capitals.
Leif Shiras will be the host for the 8-match TV series. He will be joined by Katrina Adams for the Finals telecast and most regular season matches. Corina Morariu, who played for the Kansas City Explorers in
2007, will provide commentary at the two telecasts from Newport Beach, Calif.

The 8-match series will also be distributed throughout the majority of the Comcast SportsNet system this summer. The League is finalizing plans to air the series on several other regional sports networks
including Cox Communications, Fox Sports Net, Mediacom, MSG and Time Warner Cable. Visit WTT.com for a complete schedule.

In addition to the League’s presence on Tennis Channel and VERSUS, WTT is expected to air more than 160 hours of programming on local and regional networks, as well as in international markets. Matches from the 2007 season aired in Australia, Japan, Russia, South Africa, Spain and throughout the Middle East.

Serena Williams' debut for the League’s newest franchise, the Washington Kastles, kicks off the 2008 season with a Tennis Channel match to air on July 10. Andy Roddick, Lindsay Davenport, John
McEnroe, Venus Williams and Bob and Mike Bryan are among the other players who will be featured in the national telecasts.

The World TeamTennis Pro League presented by Advanta is a professional co-ed tennis league cofounded by Billie Jean King during the 1970s. The League begins its 33rd season of play on July 3. The
regular season concludes on July 23 with five teams advancing to the WTT Championship, July 24-27, in Roseville, Calif.
