12/02/11 - CHICAGO--Wilson tour player Roger Federer won his record sixth ATP World Tour Final on Sunday in London, England, ending his season in style and creating anticipation for the 2012 season.

Armed with his Wilson Six.One Tour BLX tennis racquet, Federer defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (France) three sets 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 to defend his title and win the season-ending tournament. It was his 70th tour-level trophy during his illustrious career.

During the round-robin portion of the event, Federer rose to the top of his group with three wins including a 6-3 6-0 win over rival Rafael Nadal. Federer ended the year on a 17-match winning streak including three indoor titles and finished ranked #3 in the world.

“Roger clearly has what it takes to win,” said Renaud Vallon, Global Tour Director for Wilson. “His fierce determination and commitment to be the best sets him apart from the competition, and the Wilson team, along with his fans have enjoyed watching him achieve his goal at this tournament. He is an inspiration to all generations of tennis enthusiasts.”

"This was a very special win for me,” said Federer. “Ending this year on a high note sets the stage for 2012. I look forward to a full schedule of competing against the best players in the world, especially in the Olympics next summer.”
